These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of opticianstudy.com and the OpticianStudy service (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

OpticianStudy provides online educational content and practice materials to help you prepare for the ABO and NCLE certification exams. Our curriculum is under active development; we publish content on an ongoing basis and add new chapters over time. Features and content may change as the Service evolves.

Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

Subscriptions and Billing

  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, on a monthly or yearly basis depending on the plan you choose.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • You can cancel at any time from your account. When you cancel, your access continues until the end of the current billing period, and you will not be charged again.
  • Prices are shown at checkout and may change; any price change will apply to future billing periods, not the current one.

Refunds

If you believe you were charged in error or are unhappy with your subscription, contact us at support@opticianstudy.com and we will work with you to resolve it.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account or login credentials with others.
  • Copy, redistribute, resell, or publicly post our content.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual Property

All course content, text, graphics, and materials on the Service are owned by OpticianStudy or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license to access the content for your own study.

Educational Disclaimer

OpticianStudy is an independent study resource. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the American Board of Opticianry (ABO), the National Contact Lens Examiners (NCLE), or ABO-NCLE. Our content is provided for educational purposes to help you prepare, but we do not guarantee any particular exam result. Passing a certification exam depends on many factors, including your own preparation.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpticianStudy will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months before the claim.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
